SOLUTIONS TO PLASTIC BAG PROBLEM

Posted in Plastic bags debate on November 26, 2008 by battlefieldblogger

A solution for plastic bag problem is that you can send a message to your M.P to try and make shops stop using or remove plastic bags and change to reusable bags or use biodegradable bags. The shoppers (meaning you) can carry their own reusable bags; for example cotton canvas bags can be used to carry anything and canvas bags can be washed in the machines.

HOW DO PLASTIC BAGS HARM THE ENVIRONMENT

Posted in Plastic bags debate on November 9, 2008 by battlefieldblogger

plastic-bag-turtle1 Plastic bags are harmful to the environment, as they kill 200 thousand animals annually because the animals consider the plastic bag as food and this ruins their digestive system.  Another reason why animals  die from plastic bags is that when the plastic bags are left around sometimes the animals get strangled in them.

When the plastic bags block the drain pipes this can prevent water from traveling.  The streets look dirty when citizens throw plastic bags there without bothering what can happen to the environment. The plastic bags are non-biodegradable and it takes about 1000 years for them to degrade. Do you think there is a street that looks dirty in battlefield because of the plastic bags?  Leave a comment.  streets-looking-dirty

I’ve been researching on plastic bags. I’ve found out what harm plastic bags can do to the environment. I’m going to share my information on my blog and also I’m going to take a survey of how many plastic bags are biodegradable in the shops in Battlefield. I’m going to attach a film clip that is very interesting on plastic bags and how they harm the environment.

People usually go to the Beanscene to have tea or coffee. The Beanscene is next to the Battlefield Rest at 110 Battlefield Rd .When you enter the  Beanscene the first thing you would see is the counter where you would order your food or drink. Teenagers can go to the Beanscene as well. You can either sit inside or take your order outside. You can either sit in with your family or friends. If you decide to sit inside most of the seats are next to the window where you watch what’s happening outside or watch the T.V at the top of left hand side of the entrance.
