BEANSCENE

People usually go to the Beanscene to have tea or coffee. The Beanscene is next to the Battlefield Rest at 110 Battlefield Rd .When you enter the  Beanscene the first thing you would see is the counter where you would order your food or drink. Teenagers can go to the Beanscene as well. You can either sit inside or take your order outside. You can either sit in with your family or friends. If you decide to sit inside most of the seats are next to the window where you watch what’s happening outside or watch the T.V at the top of left hand side of the entrance.

Battlefield Rest History

The “Battlefield Rest” used to be a tram station and a newsagent. In 1990s the Glasgow City Council wanted to demolish the building because it was unsafe but over 1500 people signed a petition to prevent the demolition. Now it is a popular Italian restaurant.

THE WHALE OF A TIME

The Whale of a Time is situated on 1273 Pollokshaws Road. The Whale of a Time is a great place to hang around for little kids. You can spend time with your family and with friends. You can have any sort of parties. The Whale of a Time has a café for adults to relax in. They have a football area, giant balls, scramble nets and tube slide which kids really enjoy.

LANGSIDE LIBRARY

In Battlefield they have a library at Sinclair drive which has fiction books that most people are interested in usually. The kind of book that young children like is fairy tale book. If they don’t have the kind of book that you need to research on you can go on the computers to find basic information that you need. High school children can look at non-fiction books for their tests/exams.

The park has swings for children to swing on. It has a playing area where all the kids can go and the adults watch their children. It has a great scene of view at the pond. They have a beautiful glass house which has wildlife animals. Queens Park has 4 football pitches which have big spaces to run and dribble.
